Whimsical Burlap Stocking

This was a fun project Sophie and I did for the wreath outside! I stuffed the inside with scraps of material. Then sewed the top. To keep the shape and to hand it, I got a wire hanger and straightened it out then folded it in half. It help form the toe of the stocking really well. Have fun, any questions just ask.

Another Year of Thankfulness!

  • This week has been a wonderful week of Thankfulness! I am most thankful for Jesus! He is number one in my life to be thankful for! He has been a strong rock for me through some hard times with cancer almost 2 years ago, and on going CT Scans and Pet Scans for the next 3 years. He has carried me through some dark and bright days!  Blessed to have him as my personal savior
  •  My husband-blessing that was sent to me 5 years ago, and one of the best! Someone I lean on a lot and able to tell any thing too! Thankful for him!
  • Sophia-a wonderful blessing from God! So quite at times, and my sweet loving girl!
  • Jaxsun-sweet, sweet boy! So full of energy and keeps us on our toes!
  • Sadie-Sweet angel in heaven who I miss everyday! I keep many memories of you around the house on my dresser. I am thankful for the time I got to carry you in my womb. God had other plans for you! Giving you back to God was one of the hardest things, and I could have sat in the hospital for weeks holding you.
  • Allie Girl-Our sadness went to excitement finding out we were expecting you, and then being born on Sadie's birthday! Blessed to have our two youngest share a birthday! You are a bundle of joy and so full of life!
  • My parents-blessed beyond measure! Blessed to have them raise with great morals, values, and integrity!
  • Siblings-each one are wonderful, and love getting to see them!
  • Friends-you each know that I love you, and cherish your friendships! I love and am thankful for those nice text, messages on Facebook. It brings a smile to my face!
  • Life, it is wonderful and I feel blessed beyond measure with all that God has given me! Some times life is hard and sad, and missing family or not seeing friends is difficult but God always knows how to keep a smile on my face regardless of how rough things can get!

Updated 12 Days of Christmas

I went back and added more Christmas decorations in our house. I have added cranberries throughout as well. Here is more pictures and ideas!

I moved the NOEL letters in the kitchen, and decorated the lamp shade with Red and White Chevron material from Hobby Lobby!

I added Cranberries, and branches with fake ice on them. The cranberries and ice branches are from Hobby Lobby.

I should add a candle inside the lantern

NOEL letters came from Hobby Lobby, and I left them plain looking since I am doing a old look for Christmas decorations

I made the Red Self that is in our kitchen, and it goes perfect with the theme in the house. I added a old looking bucket I found at Target in the dollar isle. The two buckets I found at target in the dollar isle too. I placed fake snow and glitter balls from Hobby Lobby.

Love this! My favorite part of decorations inside the house.

I did not want to over load these guys, so I just added burlap and cranberries.

Front Porch so far

"W" bought from Hobby Lobby, and painted it myself

I redecorated my lamp shade in chevron materiel.

The canasters from Target with fake snow and glitter balls from Hobby Lobby!

Burlap Trees

Burlap trees are really simple and fun to make and make a house look very warm! Supplies you will need: Construction Board, Hot Glue Gun, Burlap of any color! Have fun!

I made the cone out of construction board. I got it at Hobby Lobby. I played around with it, and cut the bottom to where it would be flat and stand up straight. As you can see I taped it in several places.

I cut my burlap strips about 2 inches wide. I did not wrap the burlap around and around the cone. I hot glued the burlap to the back then it meet the other end.

This is how they look when completed and different sizes as well!!!
