Chevron Pants

I am in love with this material! Right now I am making our daughter's a pair! I enjoy sewing and selling these to people and seeing their happy faces! I plan to make a lot more in put them in a local store. The lady wants to buy some! That will be in a week and a half after our two oldest start school! Time is flying before my eyes, and I am excited for them and their new adventures in life!

I have been working hard transforming our room from browns to gray and white!! Wow, it brightens the room up and makes it feel large! No more dark colors!!! Now if I can find the urge to do our master bathroom! We are looking at buying this year or next year and it is hard to keep decorating knowing we have less than a year left here!

Show Us Your: Foyer

I guess you call it a foyer, but I love how we have a long hall and the laundry room is off to the left hidden. Having a long hall/foyer you have to break it up with furniture so it does not seem so long. In the house we build we want lots of windows in the foyer!
Here is a glimpse of our foyer, nothing spectacular but it is ours and we are content for now.

Linking Up-Batman Cap Hanger

Linking Up with Beyond the Picket Fence! She is one of my favorite bloggers to link up with and others one as well!

We have transformed my son's room into a Batman Cave for him. He now has his own room, and it is all coming together! I found the pattern to make him capes and I thought of the idea to make him this hanger to put them on. I have not added all my Batman symbols on the nobs. Very simple project and gives the room a lot of life! Have fun!

Supplies
Random piece of wood your no longer using
Plain wooden nobs from-Lowes
Black Paint-Wal-Mart
Yellow Paint 0.87 for a small bottle in the craft area-Walmart
Paint Brushes
  1. Painted the wood black
  2. Sanded the edges and all around to give it a old look
  3. Screwed the screws in and put the nobs on
  4. Painted the nobs yellow
  5. Painted small Batman symbols, or use a permanent marker?
Paint it Black
Black paint for all projects

Plain nobs! They come with screws!!
Screwed in

Paint the nobs yellow

Add the batman symbol, and I sanded mine to give it a old look

I make my own funky frames, and this is one I made and painted it black and grayish to go with the room

Jaxsun enjoying his room with his sister! The headboard I made, and I love the black and white chevrons that go with his room! I will post pictures once his room is completely done!

Show Us Your Mantel

Kelly who goes to church with us. Has this fun blog! She is always doing something! Today it is Show Us Your Mantel! We do not have a mantel in our house, in a way I am thankful! Instead I have a main wall that acts like a mantel, and I think it looks cute. My mirror I made, and found one similar at Pottery Barn, but my price was  a lot more reasonable!

Linking Up-Picket Fence Mirror

On pottery barn I saw a mirror which I loved! For 499.00, there is no way I would spend that much on a mirror! Therefore, I made my own from picket fences and a mirror from Wal-Mart.

Supplies:
Mirror-4.50 at Wal-Mart
Picket Fence (3)-1.?? -Lowes
Picture Wall Bracket Hangers-1.97-Wal-Mart
Picture Wire -Wal-Mart
L-Shaped Brackets-2.97-Wal-Mart
Liquid Nails-Wal-Mart
Sample Paint-Lowes
Stain (the smallest can)-Lowes
Wood Screws-Wal-Mart
Sander
Jigsaw

  1. I measured my wood up to my mirror and cut the wood at a 45 degree angle.
  2. Placed my L-Shaped backets in corner and screwed them on
  3. I placed Liqued Nails, and layed my mirror on. Then went around the mirror applying liquid nails.
  4. Liquids nails are to set for 24 hours.
  5. Next day I painted my frame a off white. Let it dry. Sanded the edges, and the wood itself.
  6. I put gloves on, and got a old rag and dipped it in the stain a little bit. It goes a long way. Rubbed it all over, and let it set and dry.
  7. Last I screwed the Wall Bracket Hangers, and tied on the picture wire.
 GOOD LUCK!
All these supplies I got at Wal-Mart or already had
Wal-Mart

Smallest can they have at Lowes
Sample Paint from Lowes. The color name is Cream Delight

I should have went directly in the middle!
Laid out how I would like it
It would look pretty just stained!

Let it lay flat!

Liquid nails all around

What it looks like hung up on my wall.

Up close of the color! I love the old look!

The one in the picture and setting over night tonight is for a friend. She chose the same color, but I do plan to do a black rustic with a yellow batman symbol for my sons room, and will post that soon!

Have fun!

Park/Eating/Ice-Cream

Today was a great day of course! This morning we went to our park, and ate at Wendy's. Of course I knew every worker their. They know me by name, and all my kids. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing lol. I love people, and never meet a stranger. But, I am cautious at who I talk to. We ate our supper outside and had ice-cream cones. We did our nightly walk and found fresh blueberries!

Pregnant with Jaxsun, about to have him any time

Jaxsun, he was so tiny!

First day home, taking a nap with his sister

His first fourth

So bright eyed!

Hobby Lobby/ Walks

Being a stay at home mom we do so much! This morning we went to Jump Zone! We were the only ones their, and had a lot of fun! My husband worked on homework, afterwards the kids and I loaded up for a trip at Hobby Lobby. I could live there! My home away from home! I got several patterns for $.99! They are adorable patterns! My latest projects are for a little girl who arrived a little over a week early! Her name is Anna! From all the pictures I see she is a beauty! God blessed her parents so much! I hope I do a lot more sewing for her! I enjoy sewing for friends they let me go crazy and do whatever! Congrats Alicia again!

Ipad every where we go in the car!

My phone, she fell asleep on the way

He thinks the Ipad should take a walk as well :(

Walking home :)
We did our nightly walk, and enjoy the rest of the evening!
